Privacy notice.

What we collect

We collect information you give us directly. That includes your name, email address, organisation and any message content when you contact us at hello@coldcurrent.ai, submit a form, or subscribe to our mailing list.

We also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit this site. That includes your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and the pages you view. This information is collected by our website host and is used to operate and secure the site.

We do not collect sensitive personal information through this website. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

How we use it

We use the information you give us to respond to your enquiry, to send you material you have asked for, and to manage our relationship with you or your organisation.

We use technical information to keep the site available, to diagnose faults, and to understand which pages are read.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use the information collected on this site to train models.

Client project data is handled separately under the terms of the relevant engagement agreement, not under this notice.

Legal basis

We collect and use personal information with your consent, or where use is reasonable and expected in the circumstances, as permitted under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.

Where you are in a jurisdiction that requires a stated legal basis, we rely on your consent for marketing communications, and on our legitimate interest in operating and securing this site for technical information.

You can withdraw consent at any time. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also write to hello@coldcurrent.ai.

Sharing and processors

We use a small number of service providers to run this site and our communications. They process information on our instructions and only for the purposes we set.

These currently include our website platform and host, our email and newsletter provider, and our business email provider. Some of these providers store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States, where different laws may apply.

We may disclose information where required by law, or to protect our rights, safety or property.

We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing.

Retention

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to answer it and to maintain a record of our dealings with you, and then for a reasonable period afterwards.

We keep mailing list subscriptions until you unsubscribe.

We keep technical log information for a short period for security and diagnostic purposes.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or render it anonymous.

Your rights and contact

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent to our use of it. We will respond within the time required by law.
